Charlie DeWitt is a trial attorney who represents clients in all family and domestic matters. Charlie is comfortable in the courtroom, believes that preparation and communication are key to good advocacy, and has the ability to navigate a highly confusing, and highly emotional area of the law with all things from divorce disputes, child custody, child support payments, guardianship matters, and adoptions. In addition to her courtroom experience, Charlie knows and understands all facets of the Department of Human Services and navigating issues arriving from DHS involvement when coupled with domestic matters.
Charlie’s experience as a litigation attorney includes, but not limited to jury and bench trials in both criminal and civil cases. As such, Charlie serves as counsel in the areas of employment law and breach of contract disputes. Due to her background in social work, she understands that underrepresented populations need a vigorous advocate that has litigation experience. Her educational background and experience naturally allows her to see each client as an individual who is in need of not only her legal skills, but also her ability to listen to their struggles with compassion.
In addition to her legal practice at the firm, Charlie is an alumni of Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree, and then went on to graduate from Oklahoma City University’s School of Law in 2020. She grew up in Antlers, Oklahoma, and currently resides in the Oklahoma City area. Charlie is family-oriented, and in her spare time, she enjoys traveling back home to Southeast Oklahoma to visit family and friends.
