Yovana Lopez Medina currently serves as a Law Clerk at the firm.
Yovana earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law in May of 2022. During her time at the law school, she was actively involved in various organizations and held leadership positions. Yovana served as the President of the Immigration Law Student Association and the Hispanic Law Student Association. She also chaired the Stony the Road Symposium and was a member of the Dean's Diversity Council. Additionally, she served as an Admissions Ambassador, promoting the law school and assisting prospective students.
Prior to attending law school, Yovana graduated from the University of Oklahoma, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Relations with a Minor in Spanish in December of 2014.
Yovana began her legal career as a as a Law Clerk at Robben Law PLLC, conducting legal research and preparing estate planning documents. She further expanded her legal skills as an Intern at OCU Law American Indian Wills Clinic, where she drafted estate planning documents and provided support to clients. Yovana also served as an Immigration Intern at Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma, where she focused on assisting victims of crime. She then worked as an Intern at the Lujan Law Firm PLLC, where she worked on asylum cases. Finally, Yovana became a Law Clerk at Stump Immigration in Oklahoma City, where she prepared various immigration applications.
In addition to her legal experience, Yovana served as the Director for the Domestic Violence Victim's Assistance Program at the YWCA in Oklahoma City. In this role, she assessed danger levels, developed safety plans, assisted victims in obtaining protective orders, and provided translation services during court proceedings.
Yovana's diverse background and experience in immigration law, estate planning, and victim advocacy have equipped her with a unique skill set to navigate complex legal issues and provide compassionate support to her clients. She is dedicated to making a positive impact and strives to ensure that justice is accessible to all.
Yovana enjoys spending time with her three-year-old daughter and her loving husband. Outside of her professional endeavors, she cherishes creating lasting memories together.
